When is skipping classes justified?

Let's say... if it's FORTY CELSIUS BELOW outside, and I already have a bad cold?

Personally, Id suggest you skip when its nicer out. Whats the point of skipping when yer just gonna be miserable at home anyway.

When the sun is shining on a spring day, there are no clouds in the sky, the temperature is in the low 80s, and the local swimming hole is calling your name. Also when the previously listed conditions are met and heeded by the entire Senior class. Soon and very soon.

I don't think skipping school is right, if you're doing it on purpose. I can understand if it's because you're sick or something, but other than that, I think it's very wrong. My friend does it, but she does a lot of other bad things, so I'm used to it. I've never skipped school and I don't plan to ever.

I would never skip school. I personally like school, so I wouldn't want to any way. And I also don't really see the point. I think it is wring. But then again, that is just my oppinion.

Well, everybody's different. My mom gives me "mental health days" like every other week lol

It's apparently not working very well.

ooc: I love your new avatar Sminty! I guess you didn't think that your pink hearts showed that your a female well enough did you?

ic: Like I said earlier, I don't think that skipping school is right. It is pretty much impossible to skip grade school now though, unless your parent/gaurdian calls the school and tells them why. But mental health days are a completely different subjec........

my mom used to let me do that. If i just didn't want to go to school she'd let me stay home.but one of my brothers or sisters always brought my work home and i'd do it that day so all i missed out on was being there.but once i got to about 6 or 7th grade i didn't like missing days cause school wasn't as boring, plus there was alot more work. anyhoo now that i'm homeschooled i can't really skip.

I skipped school when my pet fish, Hector, died. It was very traumatic for me. I cried for about 2 hours and I only had the fish for about 4 days.

It's very sad. I couldn't sleep with Hector's air filter on because it made an annpying humming noise. When I woke up the next morning, Hector was flaoting at the top of his tank.

I never will forget Hector and all the good time we had together.

Like when I brought him to visit my frinds and I dropped him on the floor and my friends dog tried to eat him... those were the good old days-

And somehow this fish managed to die, when kept in such good, safe conditions?

'Twas a sad day for me when my first fish died. I boiled him. (Not quite, but almost)

I just don't understand! Hector was such a good fish! I fed him ever other day, and gave him food off my own plate if he looked hungry!

How did you manage to boil your fish? That crosses the line from carlessness, to animal abuse in my book! That sounds like something my friend Kate would do!

O, and feeding him from your plate and feeding him to the dog isn't?

I was heating up his 'tank' (actually a goldfish bowl), up to the 75 degrees it was supposed to be. Rather than setting it at 75, I figured it must be messed up, since it was taking a while. So I just kept on turning it up and up until it was reached 75.

The next day, it had gotten to be such hot water that he'd jumped out.

It was a betta, btw.
