Gundabad
Was an ancient Dwarf hold ( IIRC Durin awoke there) It was lost orcs, "taken again" in the orc and dwarves war. but it "seems" that by the hobbit it was back with the orc's. IIRC there is something about them going around or through gundabad to get to the battle of five armies After this what are your personal that like Moria that a group of Dwarves may have attempted to re-colonize it.
