Ninja Turtles!! Oh gosh, they were the best.

I dont remember much of that 80s stuff though...a few of them ring a bell.

I liked Dr. Seuss, and any books about dinosaurs or bugs!

No...I was a Sesame Street/ Mr. Rogers kid. (I do remember liking Care Bears, too, though.) I never really liked Barbies...I played "Little House on the Prarie" with my next door neighbor instead.

Does anyone remember that Raggedy Anne and Andy show? That was cool.

And you gotta love the Ninja Turtles. I always watched the 'guy stuff' like that and X-men and Batman and Superman...wow...I still do that...

Scooby Doo and Bugs were my favorite cartoons as a little kid. In junior high I would ignore pleas to hang out with my friends and fly home to watch Battle of the Planets. I also watched the original Batman series (not the cartoon), Land of the Lost, UltraMan, Fat Albert, ABC Afterschool Special (talk about cheesy!), The New Zoo Revew, Zoom, Shazam!, Hong Kong Phooey, All-Star Laff-Olympics (I am not sure why I watched this one, I remember not really liking it.)

Probably one of my all time favorite TV shows ever (I still like it and have many episodes on VHS) is Battlestar Galactica. Man! I love this show! Anyone else brave enough to admit it?

I never played with Barbi, but I did have Evel Knievel and his stunt cycle. Now that was a cool toy!

Oh and Match Box cars and a pile of dirt could occupy me for hours.

Anyone watch Animaniacs? That is even more fun to watch now cuz so many jokes were over my head when I was little. Even more so with Pinky and the Brain.

Captain Planet? lol

Toys?
Matchbox car, dinosaur toys, train set, ninja turtle figures, and of course, the original Nintendo Entertainment System. I passed that along to my cousin so I still get to play Super Mario Bros 3 occassionaly. That's one of the best games!

I LOVED watching the Little Mermaid (it was my favorite movie)and I still LOVE the songs I liked Beauty and the Beast, but Little mermaid was the BESTEST. "Where The Wild Things Are" was a favorite book that my Grandma used to read me over the phone, "Jumanji", and Dr Seuss.
Eric was my first teddy bear and I still have him he was named after Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid, my turtle Hannah awaits me in Heaven , and Amy my big floppy easter bunny is still a favorite toy to sleep with .
But I lived in my own imaginary world kind of and sometimes I find myself talking to characters in LOTR even today, so I used my imagination more than anything and loved telling people about it.

I supposedly watched The Last Unicorn when I was little. My mom brings up at the most inopertune times how I cried when something died on it....I dont' really remember it, though...

Animaniacs is one of the coolest shows. Pinky and the Brain, too....

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS is SO COOL. My dad hates it though, which makes it even more fun to watch!

Anybody watch Invader Zim on Nickelodeon? I like that, though no one else in the world seems to think its funny...

There was some article in a magazine about sponge bob square pants. Turns out, most of the people watching it are adults, like 60% of its viewers are in their 20s and up (iirc, the most are 40+). Its a strange show, but i like it.

Historically, cartoons were not made for children, but for adults. Even nursery rhymes weren't written for children.

also dr. seuss wrote for adults, and i believe i heard somewhere that winnie the pooh was originally made for adults... everyone laughs at me for watching cartoons now though. practically the only thing i ever watch is cartoons and whatever else my roommates are watching (like one of them likes buffy a lot..)... maybe i'd watch them less if i found other non-cartoon shows? but i highly doubt it...

oh oh.. and also i like claymation... wallace and grommit as well as chicken run are good.... the latter even more so since i am vegan

I loved the Last Unicorn when I was little. And I played with Barbies, too. Then I tortured Barbies for a while after that . . . hung them and the like. And I loved Pokemon, too. In the third grade, I got up at 6:30 am every day just to watch that. Pikachu was so cute . . .
This was a very elabotate (not) bump.
