Heh heh! Yeah...I jump my husband's case pretty heavy when he tries to sneak those movies by me! Strong empathy is not an indication of wussiness though! Just a deep emotional well.
My dad did two tours of duty in Korea, as an Army platoon leader...Besides commenting that it was freezing cold...he won't talk other than to say this, in a slow, sad way...... "I'm sure I lead many young men to their deaths." then he clams up. Ugh!

Ruinel....15 minutes! Man, that war was the nerve center of the nation for years! No wonder everybody was doing drugs back in the late sixties, early seventies! I guess they don't know what to say yet, since we lost!

I know, she could have taken a little time out to tell me some of it. *shrugs* I don't know what the big deal was. I never could get a straight answer out of adults about that war.

More off topic: one of my mom's former husbands had been a Green Beret in Vietnam, you could never tell him you were scared of anything because he'd get upset and tell you what it was like to be scared... "You don't know what scared is. In Vietnam, we wouldn't stop to take a crap, we'd just crap in our underwear and rip it out the back of our pants. That's how scared we were!"

He was a bit... deranged.

Lizra, I like your attitude. I don't really like senseless violence myself...CO didn't bother me though, partly because it was artistic, partly because of the way it was portrayed, and the way Alex was. Anyway...yeah... I guess that's it.
