Good for you, Elv! Actually, I don't remember how to count to eight.

Ahdeen, dva, tree, cheteeree, pyat...don't remember past that.

Don't worry, Lotty, I'm not leaving for a while.

I've lived there twice before (once above the Arctic Circle); I'm sure I can handle Sankt Pyetersboorg.

Let's see...um...ugh...evil math...I think about two and a half years since we went to Murmansk, two and a quarter years since we left Murmansk, and um...I think probably like three and a half years since we went to Ufa, and two and three quarter years since we left.

EDIT:

Yes! Shest, syem, vosyem, dyevit, dyesit!

What confuses me is seeing a letter that looks like our letter 'B' and pronouncing it 'vey'. Oh well! I am easily confused anyway.

Ouch, sorry to hear that Especially with the news that has come out about Russia over the past day, how they are supplying Iraq with goods to help them in the war against us...(Of course they are denying it )

In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.'

'Then Tuor arrayed himself in the hauberk, and set the helm upon his head, and he girt himself with the sword; black were sheath and belt with clasps of silver. Thus armed he went forth from Turgon's hall, and stood upon the high terraces of Taras in the red light of the sun. None were there to see him, as he gazed westward, gleaming in silver and gold, and he knew not that in that hour he appeared as one of the Mighty of the West, and fit to be father of the kings of the Kings of Men beyond the Sea, as it was indeed his doom to be; but in the taking of those arms a change came upon Tuor son of Huor, and his heart grew great within him. And as he stepped down from the doors the swans did him reverence, and plucking each a great feather from their wings they proffered them to him, laying their long necks upon the stone before his feet; and he took the seven feathers and set them in the crest of his helm, and straightway the swans arose and flew north in the sunset, and Tuor saw them no more.' -Of Tuor and his Coming to Gondolin

Yeah, I know, that really confused my mom too, and gets to me sometimes. That's not H, it's N. That's not P, it's R....

My Russian teacher (well actually she was my math teacher, but she taught me Russian) said that she remembered the word for 'sausage' by remembering that it sounded like the word for 'dog'. So when she went to Russia she accidentally told the people at the restaurant that she wanted to order a 'dog' to eat. That one got a couple of funny looks!

So, a word of advice: don't accidentally order a dog.

One time, my brother and parents ordered a pepperoni pizza. When it got there, it was covered with pepperoni!

What is it with 'mooters going halfway around the world lately? Okay, well, the only other one I can remember leaving semi-permanently was FrodoFriend, and hasn't she dropped in a few times? I wonder what Hungary's like.

Cool on going to Russia. I can say two things in Russian. Glupi (stupid) and Nyet, ya kashka (no, I am a cat. Old 'mooters will know where that came from). I told my choir teacher, who took Russian, this, and he promptly replied:

Nyet, ya kashka, glupi. And that's a direct quote.

Well, one half good bye then. I hope you like Russia. I'd give anything to see it (as well as the rest of the world).

You will be deeply missed, *hides tears* Errr... A little early for that but might as well get it over with. . Have fun in Russia, and if you get your hands on a computer there... say hi to all of us. And tell us about Russia, it seems like a really interesting country.

O, I'll have a computer. Though my trusty laptop (I'll just use it for writing) won't be on the Net, the main computer will. I'll probably have two hours a week, part/most of which will be Moot!
