Yorrick- "Alas poor Yorrick I knew him well" is a quote. He was either from MacBeth or Hamelet. I forget. He was murdered.

If you need to know about shakespeare-and I know this is really advertising-but it's helpful advertising try www.sparknotes.com-has many of the commonly studied literary works (I used it for my 1st semester English exam, and will use it next month).

Heh... I refuse to use SparkNotes and related services (Coles Notes, Cliff Notes, etc.) on a matter of principle. It just feels so dirty.

After reading their woefully inadequate crash-course analysis of The Lord of the Rings, I was turned off to an even greater extent. Though I'd be flattered if one day, there were SparkNotes on something I wrote and published...

Oh you still need to read the works (I certainly do), but if you can't reread them prior to an exam or midterm then at least the notes provide a summary and analyses. Obviously the more closely one reads, the better one understands. But in reality a large percentage of people are lazy, and they want to just get buy. Sparknotes is highly useful for just getting by-and I find their analysis is actually quite good as a complement to my lecture notes.

Yes, I can see its use as a quick and easy study tool. However, in terms of literary analysis (especially as it pertains to examinations, essays, etc.) I find that using established analyses and theses leads to excessive homogeneity of interpretation. I prefer to be original about it.

I hate homework. Luckily, this semester I rarely have any. We are on block schedule, so each class is an hour and a half. Most teachers teach for an hour then give you the rest of the period to do your homework. Plus, I only have two academic classes this semester.

I have a question... Would it be easier to do a two page report on Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, or Winston Churchill? I think I'm gonna do it on Hitler...

This isn't actually homework, but does anyone know the name of the dinosaur that looks like a Triceratops, but doesn't have the three horns?
