What about some of those name from the LotRs movies. Very strange. Orlando (Orli?) who would want to go through life being called Orli? Elijah? A little religious. Viggo? Hmmm, don't know what to make of that one. And talk about the hippy era, where in the heck did Steven Tyler get the name Liv?

There's a kid that I know, his parents must not have liked him or something. His last name is Gay. Anyone want to take a guess at his first name?

That's right -- it's Ben. Ben Gay, like the medicine. I would change my name.

Actually.... *Liv Tyler Trivia Time* Liv was born Liv Rundgren. Thats it. No middle name. No OlivIA. Just Liv. Strange eh? She thought her dad was Todd Rundgren and she stayed in denial about this till she was 12 when she officially changed it to her real dad's last name. Her mom named her Liv because she saw Liv Ullmann on the cover of a TV Guide the week Liv was born. Go figure.

I can't decide which is weirder- that Liv Tyler was named after someone her mother saw on the front of TV Guide, or that you know that much about her.

I think Afrikaans families take the cake when it comes to family names. My two sisters were named after my grannies, the oldest after gran from mom's side (Elsie Maria ....) and the other after gran from Dad's side (Frances Margaret .... - problem is my parents weren't the only ones with that idea, so now there are 6 Frances Margarets in the family, my gran, one aunt, my sis & 3 cousins). I was named after my mom ('cos I was born on her birthday) but my poor brother got the worst deal - he was named after dad (and many great grandfathers) so he has to carry the names Christiaan Jacob Benjamin ....... through life.

And 'Bob' was also my dad's name (or more accurately, Robert). Though he must have found it a bit boring, he was always spicing it up. Bobby Gee was a favorite.
