"Edith! Stifle! "
We need a moment of silence, folks. Man, I love that show.

Who remembers him in anything but All in the Family and Heat of the Night? I remember seeing Carroll O'Connor as Casca in the Burton/Taylor version of Cleopatra.

Re: Goodbye Archie Bunker...

We were just talking about this today. My mom catered a party he was at a while ago and she said he didn't look so good. Rest in peace, Archie.

Re: Goodbye Archie Bunker...

A sad day indeed! Carroll O` Connor was an incredibly talented actor. He was very fortunate to be involved with two top-quality (something that is sorely lacking in most of today`s television programs) shows. All In The Family was a very unique, original show that tackled subject matter no other show had before that. It was extremely comical at times yet could also be intensely serious at times. In The Heat Of The Night had some excellent, intense, insightful scripts that made you think about certain issues. And he was also an accomplished stage actor as well. If you`ve never had the opportunity to see him perform live, you have missed out on some absolutely incredible performances. Rest well, Carroll. Good Journeys.

Talented bluesman John Lee Hooker also passed away this week. Another extremely talented performer in the entertainment industry. His albums and cds of studio music are outstanding in themselves but his live performances are (were) truly impassioned and inspirational. The music world has lost a true genious.
