I think Zavron's getting a lot from D&D, and other fantasy stuff. It's alright because a lot of that was originally based on Tolkien's work anyway (his books kinda started the D&D and Games Workshop thing) but these games have also used other mythologies and imagination to fill in other mythical creatures. Tolkien kept the number of actual intelligent races in his books to a minimum in order to make Middle Earth seem a concievable place (as much as possible). His books seem clean-cut because they are not cluttered with huge numbers of mythological creatures. But hey, it's up to your own interpretation of Middle Earth whether these creatures exist and are just not mentioned by Tolkien, who, after all, doesn't attempt to go into detail on everything in Middle Earth. The whole of LotR is only set in the North East, who knows what wierd creatures live to the South and the West?

First off, everyone's right; Duergar, Drow, and Gnomes definitely are not part of Middle-Earth.

Second, the plural form of Drow is the same as the singular. Drow.

And lastly, Drow and Duergar come from Forgotten Realms, which actually predates D&D.

I really hate it when people just make up crap and expect it to be taken at face value.

Gil- galad was an elven king.
Of him the harpers sadly sing:
the last whose realm was fair and free
between the mountains and the sea.

His sword was long, his lance was keen,
his shinig helm afar was seen;
the countless stars of heaven's field
were mirrored in his silver shield.

But long ago he rode away,
and where he dwelleth none can say;
for into darkness fell his star
in mordor where the shadows are.

Learn now the lore of Living Creatures!
First name the 4, the free peoples:
Eldest of all, the elf-children;
Dwarf the Delver, dark are his houses;
Ent the earthborn, old as mountains;
Man the mortal, master of horses;
(That is the original)

(Here are the extras)
Half-grown Hobbits, the hole-dwellors;
Drow the dark sight, hidden seekers;
Centaur the star-gazer, half Horseman;
Gnome the Hill Lord, smallest of peoples;
Deurgar Grey-Dwarf, strong are his tunnels;
Gargoyle the ancient, the living statues;
Sprite the faery, gurdian of forests;
Troll the hardy, shunned by people;
Griffon the lost ones, keepers of cloud;
Dragon FireBreather, Lizard Kings;
Orc the evil, maimed for life;
Giant the tall man, the overgrown Human;
Ogre the Ugly, (Not thought of rest)

I am going to add more to them to account for all Races. Some races have been taken out of other books but are similar basis to The Tolkien Books.

I'm just a bit concerned you felt the need to copywrite it.

I think that there s nothing wrong with Wayfarer, he just don't like the Zavron's poem. And he probably thinks "why to waste your time writing this silly peom".
Actually, there is nothing wrong with that.

Wayfarer's beef is with the content of the lists, which seems to me to merely pose as Tolkien related material, and also with zavron's surprize with anyone's opposition to it -- but it's not worth arguing over, and I am sorry if I caused trouble.

I don't see the point in editing me just saying 'Idiot' when wayfarer said 'Crap'. No more arguments please. I'm just creating this for fun. I mean It's not like I've just ruined tolkiens belief and everything that he worked for in life, is it now. Stand me up in a corner and shoot me, why don't you. Now I'm going to continue with this wether any of you like it or not! Do you all understand!!
