i don't see any poetry threads; are there any else where and i just didn't see them? oh well, here's a poem (not the best but what can i say? i an amature)

On My Pedastel

WHile sitting on
the Pedastel
I've placed myself
upon,
I happened
to glance down one day.
I saw
the world
spiraling away,
'til everything was
small and insignificant.
"How glad I am,"
I sneered selfishly,
"that I'm not one of those
meaningless Creatures below."

Suddenly,
I heard the echo of
my words
drift down,
and I looked upward.
But that was
no echo of
my voice-

it was only
the person
on the pedastel
higher than mine.

oh duh!!! you post poems singularly... really, i'm not this dense every day, just most of the time...

That's cute! Neat ending. I didn't expect it and that's why it's cool.

And all you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be... My Space! Cynicism is what happens when a person opens their eyes; stops blinking in the sun, and starts wondering "why". Question everything, believe only that which you yourself deem true. Go ahead- Call me cynical.
