Was anyone in Edinburgh at new years?

anyone? lol. i want to speak to someone on how much of a disapointment it was. The best firework desplay in the world cancelled because of 'bad weather'. Yea rite... Did anyone hear about that?... they said it was cancelled bcus of the weather but it was acually a bomb scare, but they didnt tell anyone incase there was a panic and everyone went mental.

aahh... well my night was pretty much ruined bcus of it. The whole house party was cancelled.

So... was anyone there?

Not quite there, but a cousin of mine was, come in from Switzerland, along with her Greek boyfriend. Christmas we all spent together, then we all split up for new year, and they went up to Edinburgh specially. It was such a shame everything had been cancelled, but I'm sure I saw on the television some shots from Edinburgh - a piper perhaps?

But there's a new one on me. I hadn't heard of a bomb scare there. Any idea who threatened it?

It was annouced on the news that it was a nomb threat. at the time it was the weather tho.

I wasn´t there but a colleague of mine was. He reported that the fireworks were cancelled due to high winds. I don´t know if that is the truth, but then I was in New York for New Year.

All the news I've read about it said it was the weather. Fireworks may not have gained enough height to explode safely, and the roof of the tent they were holding the concert in might've come off. Sounds like a good reason to cancel to me.

Shame, really, but the whole thing has become very commercialised in recent years. It used to be that you could have a fantastic time wandering around the streets and it wouldn't cost you a penny.

Did your friends have a good time anyway?
