Final Fantasy the movie

Who has seen this movie? It is by far one of my favorites!! Dosn't rule over LOTR (extended version) though!

Do you mean The Spirits Below or whatever it was called, or is there a new one? I saw the first one (assuming), I enjoyed it though it got a bit hippy towards the end. I want one of those wagons with the big wheels and the V8...

I agree

First off I was talking about the spirits within! And I agree, I two would like one of those things with the big wheels. And this may sound kinda wierd but, there is great difference in the thought of what accualy happened to her. Like some say she was impregnated ya know the whole "with the hope of new life....blah blah blah." but I wasn't sure. What do you think.

P.S. It would rock if they made a second one!

ah yes, the spirits within. this is the one that was entirely computer animated, right? i thought it was okay... nothing special, but it looked really good. i really didn't like the ending, i like to have more closure.

It in NO WAY measured up to the complexities of the games, and that in itself is a telling indicator of this movie's suckiness. Can you imagine the audiences' minds boggling whilst trying to figure out wtf's going on in FF8 or something. To parrot a certain mooter, "it was a dumbed down movie directed by a hack".

I had no time to state my reason, but now I do! First off, I liked it because I'm big into reincarnation and the fact the the Earth has a spirit and in thus this movie supported alot of my beliefs, plus the women character was very strong and I'm pro towards that, I also believe in ghosts and aliens and what not, so I understood the movie. I accually never played the game and other people that have beliefs like me liked the movie to and also never played the game (I would like to play it someday though). In the end though, for someone who has a system of beliefs that no one else has, its hard to find anything that goes into that catagory. For example you'll find hundreds of Christian movies but you wont find hundreds of Pagen movies. (Pagen is different from Wicca so you can't say movies like The Craft apply, The Craft is accually a discarce to Wicca) but moving on. So when I find something that agrees to my beliefs which like 2 other people in the world have, it's kinda cool.

I love Final Fantasy, 1st and 2nd, although the first was the best in my opinion.

Here is a bit of info on it:

I saw the screenshots, and finally got a copy of a trailer for Final Fantasy 7 : Advent Children, which takes place two years after the events in Final Fantasy 7, the game. There is some debate over if FF7 : Advent Children is in fact a feature movie, or if it's a remake/sequal game, but most believe it is a movie. After all, there's no shots of gameplay in the trailer, and generally a game trailer will show some flashes of a stats screen or a menu somewhere, but who can say until it's released.

From the trailer and the title, I'd guess it's about Sephiroth returning with either a clone of, or the body of, either Aeris or Jenova, most likely Aeris, but in any case, probably hoping to have/create children with one of the only remaining Cetra (the Ancients), and coninuing his take-over and destruction of the planet, and his vengence on Cloud.

And they cut his hair off. He moves and looks a lot like Sydney Losstarot from Vagrant Story (another, less popular Squaresoft game). There is a remade sequence of the famous Sephiroth-smirking-and-walking-into-the-fire, with his knee-length hair, and I was quite impressed, and that was the first time I've seen computer-animated long hair done well. Though I can understand why they cut his hair short to shoulder-length for the rest, as it would be such a pain to animate for a longer period of time. But I forsee many complaints about it. He's still one of the most popular and well-known Final Fantasy villains, at least it appears so, looking at websites.

I've watched the trailer countless times now. I hope the movie or game or whatever it is comes out soon.

and here's some TRAILERS;

I loved the Final Fantasy movie. But the movie did so bad that it hurt Square money wise. Sony bought alot of shares in Square just to keep the company from going under. Square said because of the failure of the film that they will never be making another movie. There goal now, with the help from Sony, is to make more games, not just the Final Fantasy games.

And Treehobbit, the movie is nothing like any of the games, but I hope you still try them out, they are some of the best game on the market.

You don't need a PS-2 for FFVII and FFVIII you know! (plus a lot more...I-VI, IX, tactics...) I haven't seen the The Spirits Within, but I heard it was really bad. I am excited about Advent Children however. I hope it's cool. Even if it sucks I'll probably like it, loser that I am...

Don't feel bad I'm a loser too. I went into the Wizards of the Westcoast store once just to see what they had and had like a really good conversation about LOTR and HP with the people that worked there...I have no life.
