Gen Con Convention

So they are having this "Gen Con" game fair in Indpls next Sat...and Sam and Gimli will be there to sign autographs!

I'll probably pass...maybe....

I suppose John Rhys Davis won't look to Gimli-ish at his regular height!

Also there for autographs are Bobba-Fett, Aayla Secura, Aurra Sing, Darth Maul, Taun, Pio and a bunch of other weird names!

"Gen Con" is "four days of nonstop gaming of every kind". People from all over, many in costume. Sounds fun, $23 per day, or $60 for all four days. www.gencon.com

I didn't like John Ryes Davies in Sliders at first and then I started to really like his character. I think he's a pretty good actor.

Unfortunately, his script in LotRs movies called for him to act as quite differently (as the comic relief) from the way that Gimli is portrayed in the books (heroic, noble and brave). So, I don't blame the actor for this travesty. I blame PJ.
