Wedding Bands

Ok I need some help....I want to get a 14kt gold wedding band for my upcoming wedding in October. But, I want to have something engraved on the outside of it using the Tengwar. Does anyone know of any national or international chain of jewelry stores that will do engravings in another alphabet if you provide them with the font to download? I have found places on the internet where you can order Elvish love rings but they are only 9kt and I would really prefer 14kt or 10kt. Thanks you guys!

Much as the thought of a wedding band gives me the jitters ('specially if it's on me own finger)

I like it alot but it is just a tad pricey....I'm a broke college student!

(but then what do I expect when I'm asking someone to engrave things in a different alphabet!

My grandfather was a jeweler. If you want something engraved on the outside of a ring, it will wear rather quickly with 14kt (not as fast as pure gold, but quicker than you want). You might consider either having the engraving on the inside, or getting the ring in 10kt instead. Surely, it is not as nice as 14kt, but the engraving will last longer.

Especially, if it is delicate script like you want.

thanks! I had thought about that....my engagement ring is 14kt and I've found that 14kt does bend rather easily(my ring is bent really bad and I need to have it sent in to get fixed

)....so I might end up going with 10kt which I wouldn't mind much to my mom's dismay...but hey it's not her wedding
