Introduction

Hello. This is my first attempt at using a chatroom so I really do feel like a 'Newbie' (I hadn't even heard the term until I joined this site)! Have I a lot to learn!?!?!

I've been a Tolkien fan for many years and I'm looking forward to seeing what other fans have to say about this amazing work of literature.

Ok, no offence, but this is a message board, not a chatroom. Welcome!!! If you need help, read the FAQ. There you'll find the answers to most of your questions.

Oh yes, don't be offended if this thread is closed, it's been done to me thousands of times.

Always good to see a new long-time fan of Tolkien's works. I look forward to posting with you, and I quite hope you become a permanent member of this community.

By the way, introductions are usually made in the Welcome thread at the top of this topic. There are really a LOT of people at this message board, and General Messages would be quite cluttered otherwise.

EDIT: Yes, the FAQ is a highly recommended piece of literature.
