I like her. The only problem is that I bought my cousin her album, and dear dear Jennie keeps calling me up and singing "Come Away With Me" in my ear.
But I really like Norah Jones...

I really enjoy her music. Of course, this is coming from the jazz freak, but that's okay. My mom likes her too, and we both liked her so much we bought each other her CD for Christmas.

I've only heard the one song by her, but I really liked it.

I really like her. It's nice to hear a female singer who can actually sing, and doesn't have to dance around half-naked to get people to but her CDs.

I haven't heard the album (yet), so I presume there's a reason she's scooped so many awards, but what I have heard sounds a little formulaic. But then she's only young and it's her first album. Still prefer Beth Orton.

I love her CD, AND I bought it way before there was even a lot of air time for "Don't Know Why", so nyah

I guess I'm the opposite, because I HATE HER!!! After seeing her win, like, umpteen Grammies when they really should've gone to more talented singers, I had no tolerance for her. Her songs are annoying too.

I didn't like her when i was going through my system of a down obbsession but when i went through my Red hot chilli peppers and Queens of the Stone Age obsession I really really liked her. Now that I'm in my Stone temple Pilots and Nirvanna obbsession she's okay.

I definitely like her music... one of the few popular recording artists I can actually stand nowadays. Definitely a great voice, very well suited to the genre. It's good that jazz vocalists are getting more recognition... next step is to get the instrumentalists up there on the charts.

Could you name some of those "more talented singers"?

I, for one, am pleased to see that the Grammies actually made a legitimate, musically based selection for once. It's not common for such an otherwise absurd and meaningless set of industry awards.

So what? Neither did Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Blossom Dearie, Doris Day, Chet Baker, Harry Connick Jr. or Diana Krall, in most/all of the songs they recorded. Nobody's claiming that she's Paul McCartney.

Considering how much crap passes off as "music" today, I'm glad Ms. Jones at least is producing the real stuff.

Yeah, but nobody's claiming that she's any of those greats either. She doesn't even come up to their knees in terms of her music, which I might add, is incredibly bland, and forgettable. As far as I'm concerned, just because the music industry hasn't produced anything decent for a while, doesn't mean that we should all latch onto something slightly less trite than usual.
