Gollum Moria and the Misty Mountains

I learned a lot about 'LotR' from the books, the Playstation 2 video games (the recent ones:1 & 2), [EDITED] (the tolkien fanatics site), people from this website, and from my friend (who may be joining this website soon). What I never figured out is if Moria is part of the Misty Mountains. Is it?

Khazad-dum was delved beneath the Misty Mountains.

I have deleted the url to the website you posted. It is against forum policy to advertise other sites on Entmoot unless it pertains to the discussion, except in the "advertising" thread in the GM forum.

Yes, it was under the Misty Mountains. If you reference to the maps in the LOTR books or posters, I believe you can see "Moria", "West Wall of moria" or something of that effect south of Rivendell. This is unless my memory decieves me.

Appearently, from the LOTR and the Hobbit, there were mines and tunnels throughout the entire Misty mountains, all the way north to gundabad.

SGH, is it possible, at all, to retrieve the link you deleted? I've been looking everywhere for that website.

Such dumb questions I used to ask!

Tabby

if you can describe the characteristics of the site you remember, I might be able to search it for you. Content, not wrapping.

Wow, you're on one big trip down memory lane, aren't you TB?

I doubt SGH can retrieve that link for you, what is edited out is usually gone for good.

Well, it just had a Tolkien Trail style tour of Middle Earth, but it was much more in-depth and was led, instead, by Bilbo Baggins.

EDIT: Yeah. These were the days.
