movie(s) trivia

ok, i have a movie trvia question for anyone who would like to try:

find the scene:

in the Two Towers a single scene was flipped; Legolas' quiver and bow was on the left side instead of the right. Aragorn's sword was on the right side instead of the left and Gimli's small axe too is on the left side instead of the right.

where is the scene?

Grey ship, grey ship, do you hear them calling,
The voices of my people that have gone before me?
I will leave, I will leave the woods that bore me;
For our days are ending and our years failing.
I will pass the wide waters lonely sailing.
Long are the waves on the Last Shore falling,
Sweet are the voices in the lost Isle calling,
In Eresëa, in Elvenhome that no man can discover,
Where the leaves fall not: land of my people forever!”

I have no idea. Maybe when they see Gandalf the White for the first time, but like I said I have no idea.

Is it when they're looking out over the plains of Rohan? The Aragorn line "Rohan, realm of the horselords..." bit? I don't know. Mx

Gandalf

I'll guess the scene where Eomer threatens Gimli and Legolas is ready with his bow.

This occurs about when the Riders almost pass Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli.

Sincerely,
Anthony

Because they had to shot some scenes the wrong way round. I don't remember exactly why, but I read it somewhere. I'll look it up.

Didn't Viggo Mortensen have a scar on his face or something (from an accident) so they could only show his face from one side for part of the shooting?

That might not be related to this part but I remember reading that somewhere, it was probably in FOTR.

Okay, I don't find the reason why they shoted some scences the wrong way round but I'm sure they did.

Could be one reason.
I think the reason was the set.

yeah it was when they were shoting balin tomb it is mentioned on the directors comentary cannot rember when it happened but allmost all his shots are in profile there is one when he is stood by the door just after pippin had made the person fall down the well where you can just make out his badly inflamed right hand side.

would the shot in question when they are running into the sunset?

Sween beat me to it but yes, actually you’re right... the scene was a Moria fighting sequence in Balin’s tomb, but it wasn’t a scar. Dom, Eiljah, Billy and Orlando had attempted to teach Viggo how to surf and he fell off and the board smacked him on the right side of his face and body and it was swollen and beet red the next day so they had to switch everything so they could still film *note to self: never let Dom, Elijah, Billy and Orlando take me surfing*

Nope!

You guys are so close and yet so far, I will give you a hint that will narrow things down significantly, but keep in mind this is not the actual scene, just really close
there are actually a couple of scenes like this but I’m looking for one in particular that really stands out, to me anyway.

Hint:
Legolas: “Hiro hyn hîth ab 'wanath”

have fun, here's an idea: you could use this as an exscuse to go see the movie again, i did, and will do again

The first time we get to see Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli, we see them running on top of a hill, with the camera sweeping over them. In that scene, Legolas' quiver is leaning on his left side - throughout the rest of the movie, it's on his right. Also Aragorn's sword is on his wrong side.

could it be that scene? (I doubt it because I don't remember Legolas speaking elvish before).

Could it be when Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli all think that Merry and Pippin are dead and are really upset and the Aragorn kicks the orc Helmet? I dunno but thats my best guess.

Is it when they have to give up their weapons before going in to see the king, maybe? Otherwise, I have NO CLUE.

Is it when Aragorn meets them back at helms deep?
They've already said all my other guesses.
