I asked my son to get me the Letters of Tolkien, but I am not counting on it. I asked for it on my birthday and never got it. I never get the gifts I want.

Practically my entire christmas and birthday list is made up of Lotr and Harry Potter stuff. For my birthday I got a Frodo Lives t-shirt and a black sleevless shirt with the arwen symbol on it. I also got the 14 carrot gold ring replica and the Lotr Risk game and the Fotr assignment notebook. I am soooo lucky that all of my relatives are soooo nice to me. For christmas I asked for the soundtrack to TTT and the extended version of Fotr on DVD and the playstation game for Fotr and TTT I also asked for some StarWars and Harry Potter stuff. There is noooo way that I will get all the stuffI asked for, but hey there's always next year!

I've hinted (as in dragged the BF down to the bookshop, walked to the LOTR section, and POINTED at the book) that I want a copy of Unfinished Tales. A good copy of letters would also be good.

I didn't ask for anything, period. However, I know my mom got my brother a shirt that says "Lord of the Onion Rings." Does that count?

i asked for tons of things, including 'Bilbo's Last Song', LOTR posters (to decorate my bedroom with), my sister has got me something LOTR, because it is the FOTR theatrical poster and you can see Frodo's face through the wrapping (i thought it was a calander, but apparently it isn't...). err...i'd need to check the rest of my list to say more...oh, no wait! i asked for the FOTR game (for GBA) and TTT game (for GBA) and the soundtrack for TTT...er...that's all i can think of...
I have a feeling that this Christmas is gonna be Lord of the Ringsy (well, for me anyway)

I haven't asked for anything for Christmas yet. I never know what I want. But at least I bought these great Lord of the Rings playing cards. And since I've got no idea, I went to the LOTR action figure section and pointed to a Legolas TTT figure and said, "Look, mom, isn't that sooooo cool?" I try to tell her what I want with out actually TELLING her. It doesn't usually work though. She just says, "That's nice dear. Let's go find your sister and go look at lamps."

You just have to be more pushy. Tell him that unless he buys you Letters, you will move in with him after retirement.

::hugs SGH:: Aww...if I knew your address I'd buy it for you and send it but 1) I don't know your address and 2) then I'd have to buy presents for EVERYONE, and since I only work a part time job at a theater, that's not likely.
