A Wizard of Earthsea

Anyone read it? I hear it's pretty good; I'm considering giving it a read. Any opinions?

I liked the first book the best, and I liked the other two as well. The primary difficulty I saw in them was probably just me: that books 1, 2 and 3 should have been books 1, 3 and 5. The switching to different periods like it did was a little annoying to me- I wanted to see some of those adventures unfolding, rather than simply hear that they happened. Also jumping so quickly from one point in Ged's life to another was a little bit throwing.

I can't believe that you have a fantasy literature class. That must be like heaven. Lucky you.

Just finished book 1: it's not bad! Not LotR or even the Hobbit, but not junk either. Anyone else want to read it? We can start a book club!
