Mirkwood is full of elves, also.

Well, in the Northern part, anyways.

I'll go with Mirkwood. Fangorn has "Woodsey Spooks", Mirkwood has "Evil Spooks".

I think I prefer Mirkwood. I think it's less creepy, and a place that you can live in. In few places you can even fill comfortable! I know there are places like these in Fangorn too. Mirkwood is just nicer, I think.

I'd definitly go with Mirkwood, far more predators (spiders etc) and very little in the way of food and drinking water to be found.

Fangorn, although a deep forest, seems quite a nice place (unless your an Orc or similar, then there is a certain Ent population to worry about).

Plus in the south of mirkwood theres Dul Guldor and the place where the necromancer (sauron) lived. I wonder if he opened a Hotel there *sauron speaking through a megaphone* ''Come one, Come all to saurons hotel given fivestars in the orc weekly!''

Gil- galad was an elven king.
Of him the harpers sadly sing:
the last whose realm was fair and free
between the mountains and the sea.

His sword was long, his lance was keen,
his shinig helm afar was seen;
the countless stars of heaven's field
were mirrored in his silver shield.

But long ago he rode away,
and where he dwelleth none can say;
for into darkness fell his star
in mordor where the shadows are.

Doubtful. Treebeard observed the Hobbits for a while and then befriended them. A band of Dwarfs on the other hand may have a bit more trouble (the axes may cause a little prejudice).

the outskirts of fangorn. the heart of the forest, i think, would be too dense. fangorn was alive, but quiet. i imagine that you could feel things growing, though I don't recall if tolkien said so, or not.

Mirkwood is definitely scarier and creepier than Fangorn. Sauron used to live there for crying out loud! And I am very much arachnophobic, so I would not want to find myself there ever!

Mirkwood is much more deadlier. Sauron lived there for a time and I am sure he tarnished it with evil, just like Mordor. Plus the enchanted river and spiders are scary as well. Of course the Elvish part of Mirkwood would be nice. Fangorn doesn't seem to bad, if you are a friend, you should be safe. I don't thinks Ents would attack for no reason - they arn't hasty creatures.

I would guess that each forest would be deadly to different people for different reasons. For example, if you were a logging company Mirkwood would be less deadly to you than Fangorn. However a member of Greenpeace would get along great in Fangorn. On the other hand if you were an Orc, then Mirkwood is the place for you. Fangorn is full of orc-hating Huorns! Some folk, such as Elves would get along fine in either place.
