I can't believe this is still open. I better get a post in here while I still can.
Perhaps our dear Finrod has been captured, and is being tortured in the pit of despair (don't even think about trying to escape). If so, then perhaps his post was for posterity's sake, and he's simply being honest. Although, I think Wesley whimpered at that point instead of screaming.
