Nicknames
What are your nicknames, if you have any? Any particular reason why you have them? Mine are:
Liz - this is easy, my name's Elizabeth Lizzi/Lizzie/Lizzy and all the derivatives thereof. Lizard - from "Liz" Drazil - "Lizard" spelled backwards Galadriel - apparently I look like Galadriel from the movie TinuvielChild - a lot of my friends are 'Mooters, so they call me by my username. Lizzie Borden - at summer camp I got a bit of a reputation for bloodthirstiness, so my friends named me after a notorious Lizzie. Those are all the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Most people have nicknames just because their friends or families are too lazy to call them by their whole name. In my school, people have nicknames just for fun. Its sort of stupid really. The boys have stupid names like Blueberry or Strawberry or Cherry... It's really weird.

Ali-Just the nickname I've gone by all my life, everyone calls me that
Leggy - From AlLEGra, I used to hate it. Kind of ironic, since I'm short, but I do have long legs Sangwa - a name I'm called online sometimes, from my ff.net and e-mail, Sangwaelen. Starr, StarrPolish, SP - Hmmm, wonder why. Sexy Burger - Heh, a name my friends call each other, because we were at the 'sexy burger' incident in band...don't ask I give my friends nicknames, and a lot of them have nicknames. I call a girl in band Gimpy Gollum.

You can't really derived any "shorty" nicks from my given name.
I used to be called Dolly. Don't ask, I'm not telling. (Nothing to do with the sheep) My parents used to call me Oscar the Grouch. My friends and I call each other sexy bitch.

galadriel88 - I'm sure nobody here knows why in the world that is.
Bobo - I was visiting my grandparents in Virginia, and while we were at this potluck thing at somebody's house for all the members at their congregation, my friend Tim was giving us all nicknames. I was given Bobo, and Bobo I shall remain. Lliw - it's Will backwards - he was a guy I used to like. The Silly Invisible Elf Witch - don't ask. waenglamiel - it's my name in elvish. Lovely Laura - we were playing htis game in English where we had to think of an adjective that began witht he same letter as our forst or last name, so I became Lovely Laura.

My nicknames are all along the lines of Maggie, Mags, Maggiedelany, Willow, Ghost, Dead person, Banquo, Elrond, and Magsies. These are all derived from parts I have played in plays or RPG's and the fact that Magdalena is too long for daily use.
MAGGIE YOU FORGOT TO LOG OUT OF MY ACCOUNT BEFORE YOU POSTED, too bad Those nicknames are all Willow Oran's nicknames Last edited by Celandine : 08-30-2002 at 02:22 PM. |

Re is the most popular for me. Not saying the two letters R-E, but pronouncing it "Ree" as in "see".
Squirrel (my mother - don't know where it rightly came from) Little Miss (Josh calls me this often - he got it from Bicentennial Man) Heathern (my grandmother because she couldn't pronounce "Heather") Drip (my dad - I liked the rain and constantly ran in and out of the house completely soaked as a child) |

Allie- My friends at school
Hippo...big fat hippo etc...-My siblings. Could you tell? Aragren the tall- Some girls at camp called me this. Because of TLA (I told them all about it) and because I'm short,so of course the natural thing to do is label me as tall! Jedelf-Combo "Jedi-elf" I don't really like Starwars as much as I used to. But my best friend is OBSESSED. So she calls me this. Hobbit- I am a hobbit! What more is there to say?

Kashka- I've actually started introducing myself to people by this (my friend's boyfriend knows me only by that name ) Katie Person- I could never remember this one girl's name so I just started calling her 'Jessica person,' and she returned the favor Anna- A weird kid at camp said I look like an Anna, so he started calling me that Maew- my RPing character is known in places I've also been called 'That Damned Frodo Lives Girl' a couple of times at camp. |

Duh! I forgot. As an exchange student in Korea I was dubbed Hot Chocolate.
Reason one: I would always ask for hot chocolate. Reason two: Well, that's a diferent story....

I don't have many nicknames, theres not to many ways to shorten my name, which is Holly, but I do have a few...
Silivren Estel, Sylvee Estel, Estella~ My friends and I found this English to Elvish translator thing, so we all picked out Elvish names. Mine is Silivren Estel, it means something like glittering hope. Holly Jolly #2~ In my school marching band, there is another girl named Holly, and she also plays the clarinet. (Clarinets rock! ) Shes a junior, and I'm just a stupid freshman(thats actually another nickmname of mine...Stupid freshman, lol) so she was there first and my band director always calls her Holly Jolly, so when I started high school, I became Holly Jolly #2. Tim's sister~ My older brother Timothy has is also a junior, and when I started high school, lots of people just started callin me "Tim's sister". They still do, They'll be like, "Sorry Tim's sister" or "hey Tim's sister" and so on. Its kinda annoying, but oh well. Tuba Elf~ It's a long story. Let's just say, 3 in the morning at a friends sleepover, on the internet in a Harry Potter chatroom... Wow, I guess I have more nicknames than I thought...
