Exactly. I heard someone comment about K.C. that No, he's not Dylan, but then again I never wanted to get up and dance to Dylan.

Leo Sayer! ick! ..Turn off the radio, now! I like Rock-n-Roll part 1 and 2 by Gary Glitter. He stole that cool sound from T-Rex, then Joan Jett stole it from him. I bet NBA stars hate it. I always wonder why they play that at sporting events, maybe cause there's a lot of grunting going on??

I love Aqua. yes i do. Im admitting it.

I listen to my disney cd too. some may think it sad, but who cares what it was the theme for, some of those songs are amazing and so inspirational. Like circle of life.

I haven't heard that. I'm totally diggin this new Elvis mix they're playin..."To Much Conversation". I guess it is a NIKE commercial. I might have to buy it, can't turn it up loud enough.
I remember some of the worst music I ever liked was in my sophmore year in HS, before I figured out how to be cool . OK, Black Oak Arkansas, "Jim Dandy to the Rescue" and Foghat, "I Just want to Make Love to you" Ewwwww, there's a bad smell coming off the monitor !!

I also like Spandeau Ballet "True", I sort of liked all that over produced 80's Brit pop stuff, except Rick Astley!

The Star Trekkin' song! (and I have Doctorin' the Tardis on CD - took me MONTHS to track down!) Anything by the Beegees, they're so bad, they're GOOD, some of the Manfred Mann stuff - I know, I know... Run DMC - I LOVE those guys - they did My Adias (or whatever you yankees spell Adidas) and Walk this Way with Aerosmith...

Their disco stuff was great too! I'm very guilty of liking music cause "it has a good beat and you can dance to it". (the ents out there will remember this phrase from American Bandstand ) When I hear high energy music, I'm sure the info follows the same neural pathway and goes to a similar place in my brain as a manic depressive's "high" zone. I use music to elevate my mood, move my mojo up a notch or two. Of course some songs blow the lid off, I love it! I danced years of my life away in clubs, but this was before this Techno music. That stuff hurts my ears and brain. Disco seems laughable now, but in the post hippie, pre aids disco days, walking into a fab gay club that played the killer stuff (like Sylvester) LOUD, was pure pleasure whoo, hoo! Dancing all night is the one thing I really miss from youth. today I would keel over one minute into a song. I need to get in better shape!

I'm not a big fan of sappy ballads. Even Hey Jude, Let it Be, and Bridge Over Troubled Waters were a ear hassle to me. (Not to mention they were all way too long!) Sween mentioned Lionel Ritchie on another thread... EWWW... What was that song, "Lady"? Kenny Rodgers had some really bad sappy songs too. All those hard rock hair bands had to do a sucky, sappy ballad also, in hopes of making as much money as KISS did with "Beth", but nobody can make as much money as KISS did!

I know what you mean, Lizra - I guess I'm a little more lenient of some artists like McCartney, because I know that they're capable of some other great stuff as well. But as a general rule, if it's a sappy love ballad - AVOID!

I like some disco. Like the Car Wash song, Kung Fu Fighting, She's a Brick House, etc. At least I think it's disco, if it's not then I don't know what to call it! But anyhoo, it's bad but it's good.
