Debating thread

I don't know who else likes to debate, but I LOVE it!

So I thought we could start up a debating thread; one person starts a subject, and you can join in at any time.

To start off: can we excuse Boromir for his behavior towards Frodo? Someone comment, then I'll say how I feel.

He can be partly excused. It was partly the Ring's fault, but he could have resisted it if he had stronger will power. Faramir did. So that's my opinion.
