serialization if you want

if it's not too late, everyone can start an email campaign to serialize the movie.

the movie can be split into two so they can add more scenes, more movie time, make the movie more true to the book. they can show it two weeks apart and combine them again in the home video. the movie can be 3hrs each(half).

if anyone's interested please find a way to email the director, producers, studio and cast.

Re: serialization if you want

It's really impossible. They're pleasing the fans as best as possible, and also making three movies that should appeal to the general public. Be happy they're doing 3 movies and not 2 as originally possible . But maybe they'll make a "Director's Cut" or "Special Edition" a few years down the road that includes Bombadil, Barrow Downs, etc.

Re: serialization if you want

I realize this question probably belongs in another thread, but while we're on the subject...who would you Bomba-die-hards like to see as Tom, if such a thing were to happen?

There's no way they would listen to us, especially this late.
I actually think Bombadill would be a good cameo for Robin Williams (don't all kill me at once)

Robin Williams

i've thought he'd make a great Bombadil ever since what dreams may come, which is of course the best movie ever made.

my mother (also a tolkien fan, but not as rabid as some of us) agrees, so that's 3 of us...

Re: Robin Williams

Yeah, Robins' really, really good, but i think an unknown actor would have been better... don't want to think of Patch Adams when listening to Tom Merry-Doling the hobbits, don'T you?

Re: Robin Williams

Robin Williams as Bombadil? I can see that now...it'd be great! He'd be perfect for that character.

And that we won't get to see that is now making me a little sad

Re: Robin Williams

Patch Adams was a great movie, despite what every single critic said!

Hey, there's always the special edition
