What's your favorite magic sword from any Tolkien story?

What's your favorite magic sword from any Tolkien story (or even from any other non-Tolkien fantasy story, that would be extremely cool in any of Tolkien's stories) and if you could bring one into the real world, what creative and witty things would you enjoy using it for, or doing with it.

For those not in the know, when mentioning any particular sword, please describe what it's unique powers are.

Well, I've always liked Sting (my mental image of it is no where near the movie version, btw) and the sword/knife Legolas used in the movie looked really awesome, but my ideal sword to own would just be an ordinary, rank-and-file sword without any special adornment (although if it were from Westernesse and glowed blue when orcs were around, it would be pretty darn cool )

I don't wanna get into hair splitting about the word magic.

I would take ringil ( sp?) fingolfin's blade

It was either able to channel the high kings power to wound morgoth or my its own quailties "magic" wound the dark god

I can think of nothing at the moment i would be able to use such a blade for in this day and age

I would say Glamdring just because it is an orc-killer and is super cool. I would act out my Middle-Earth fantasies and cut my watermelon with it.

I don't think I would want a sword like that. Gurthang (aka) Anglachel had a type of sentience and would betray it's users. No thanks.

Serves you right for using Eol's unworldly magic sword to chop carrots.

Sting. Come on, it's even got its own orc-alarm system. That or the Numenorean blade used by Merry to slay the Witch King.

I thought that brok nd it only got him in the ankle. Ah well. Zarcuthra would be fun since the thing was huge, made by Celebrimbor, I think he might have used it to face off Sauron at the gates to Eregion, though it later degenerated into wrestling. It's a fun sword.
