Fizzy Sherbet

My record for finding something on the Internet is a fairly swift 17 seconds (can't have been hard, I dunno now), but can I find a recipe for sherbet? 'eck as like. So please if anyone has a clue, let me know. Sherbet as in fizzy powder, not sorbet, a drink, or some other gear that goes in the freezer. When I was a kid I had a recipe, something about citric acid, icing sugar, and a little of something else like cream of tartar, but that fragment is all I can remember.

I have other useless infonuggets to trade!
