Half Elves.

I'm in a little Trivia Contest with a friend of mine, and we've been giving each other questions for a while. The first to answer one wrong loses.
Anyway, the latest question stumped me: Name four half elves. I've already thought of Elrond and Lúthien, but I nead two more. Any ideas?

Nazgul

Afro Elf - I believe the story of Imrazor and Mithrellas is somewhat apocryphal. I'm not sure if it's "official." Anybody know for sure?

Luthien was a half-elf. Just not in the traditional sense. She was half elf, half Maia.

If knowledge serves, Elrond and Elros where the first beings to be given half-elven classification...

Actually Dior, son of Beren and Lúthien, is considered the first.

Four Half-elves: Dior, Eärendil, Elrond and Elros.

There is also Elwing, and you might also be able to count Arwen, Elros and Elrohir.

hmm the ghost of what is cannon and not cannon

it would fit with the events of the LOTR when legolas and imrahil first met

so that does lend it considerable weight in my book

hopefully bropous is not around with his gladius iberian non-canonus assualtus con afro-elfus

Dior was definitely the first half-elf. All the named Half-elves are:

Dior
Elured
Elurin
Elwing
Earendil
Elrond
Elros
Gilmith
Galador

There is disagreement over whether Elrond's children were Half-elves. On the one hand, Boromir says his father told him and Faramir that Rivendel was the home of "Elrond and Half-elven". On the other hand, Elrond's children were granted the life of the Eldar. Half-elves were mortal.

Elrond and Elros were unique among the Half-elven, because they alone did not have a full Elven parent. Dior was born to Luthien after she had been restored to life as a mortal, but it appears that he would have been born mortal anyway (if she had borne him while she was still an Elf).

To be apocryphal, a work would have to be of questionable authorship or origin. The tale of Imrazor the Numenorean and Mithrellas is not apocryphal.

I think I have conclusive proof that Arwen was a Half-elf. From Letter 345:
Quote:
Arwen was not an elf, but one of the half-elven who abandoned her elvish rights.

Nolendil, if you look at Letter 345 closely, it says
Quote:
one of the half-elven
Elrond, who was Arwen's father, was considered as The Half-Elven.

An Elf with one human and one elven parent, usually.
