the local Comic style shop, near my college, has got figures, keyrings, statuetes, posters, comics,
and the 4 rings each in presentation boxes. Gandalfs, Elronds, Galadriels, and the One ring. They look special and shiny, i might get one. andy

I have a Witch-King action figure and a Gandalf sculpture. My mom found a FotR kite with Strider, Frodo, Legolas, and Gimli on it at Wal-Mart. Pretty cool. I also have a poster up in my room. I can't wait until the next movie comes out so I'll have an excuse to buy more stuff.

Khamul! I have two different kites from Walmart. I have flown them both in our field before they were planted. It was really fun to see Frodo up there waving around in the sky. I wonder what new merchandise will be made for TT. I would like small ,regular paper size posters or t shirts.

I saw somewhere that you can buy life size card board stand up figures of like Fros or Gandalf. I want one, but I don't have anywhere to put it. I saw on walmart.com that if you preorder the extended dvd you get a free lotr t shirt. I want one!

They had a big stand-up at the Walmart my daughter works at. She told them I wanted it, but it's gone and it's not mine. I'm really a little old for cardboard standups, but I'm wondering who else in my smallish town is into LoTR!!! Maybe someone got it just to sell it ??

It's funny, when you see this stuff out of place, (not a video or bookstore), It's like your seeing pictures of your family. "Look, It's Frodo! Look Gandalf". Everyone looks, at you, acting goofy!

Last night at K-Mart, I picked up a 2003 "tear off" page daily calendar, with different stills from FoTR on each date. I've always liked these kind of calendars cause it seems like you get a lot for your money. The pictures are beautiful and take up three fourths of the page, with the bottom naming the month and day in nice rune-like lettering. Of course, I'll save all the pix, except the ugly orcs. If they come out with a Two Towers one, I guess I'll have to buy it too!
Added later...Some of these pix might be from the new movie!!? There's one of what appears to be Orthanc in ruins. I'm still looking.

About the calendar, there is stuff from TT on it. There's a freaked out Saruman with a scratch on his face, flooded Orthanc, lots of new ugly guys doing Lord knows what, and a funny one of all the hobbits in a line holding their unsheathed swords pointing downward. Also one of Frodo sleeping curled up in a statue.

Have you seen the costumes at http://www.newlineshop.com ? The Ringwraith is ungodly expensive but cool. I'm sure it wouldn't fit me. I'm trying to convince my wife to make one since I would just hurt myself with the sowing machine.
