Spooky Tolkien Fact!
Ok, you take the first number of each line from the first bit of the Ring Poem:
3 ring for the elven kings, under the sky. 7 for the dwarf lords, in their halls of stone. 9 for the mortal men, doomed to die. 1 for the Dark Lord on his dark throne. In the lands of Mordor where the shadows lie ... Read the numbers backwards - 1973! Year Prof. T died! Could Prof. T have predicted his own death ... or was it just coincidence? (I'm with the second one )

By the way, I found that at another Message Board I go to.
So, as a nice, honest person, I'm not going to take the glory for discovering it. And if any1 saw this elsewhere - sorry!

THE ORCS ARE REALLY MELKOR'S AND SAURON'S BOOGERS!!
No, but really... that's an interesting observation... just coincidence, I'd say... they're all odd numbers, and that's as deep as it was intended, I think. 'Course, there's no way of verifying that.

BTW, didn't the Hobbit get published in 1937?
Also, his 111th birthday is on Jan. 3rd, next year.
