Silence of the Lambs

Just saw this movie for the first time, and I was blown away. Definately one of the best I've ever seen. The writing was just incredible, and I loved the symbolism, which I'll no doubt go into in a later post. Anyways, the reason I'm really posting this is to get people opinions on something. How do you think he got the pen??? I'll post my theory a bit later.

Hmmm . . . I don't remember how he got the pen (it's been a while since I saw the movie). It was a clever trick, though. Have you read the book? It's very good; in fact, the main reason the movie is so good is because it stuck to the book.

I'm definately planning on reading all three Hannibal Lecter books. I absolutely love the characterizations in the movie. Clarise is one of the realest hero's I've ever seen on film, and I can only assume this is because of a powerful book character.

Darth, if you liked Silence, The Red Dragon is also great. Manhunter is the movie based on the book. The book Hannibal was a little over the top for me, especially the ending. Don't want to see the movie.

Red Dragon is really cool. Thomas Harris has a sickly creative mind. I agree about Hannibal - that gave me the shivers!

He gets the pen because the idiot doctor/warden - can't really remember what - leaves it on the table as Hannibal is about to be carted off to his new place.

Red Dragon is good, not as good, but good, Hannibal bites. Don't read it.

No, definitely read! You'll like it, Tater. You can rename Hannibal "Darth Lecter" and the two of you can get together and feed people to the killer pigs.
