By the time you get through all of the present books you'll wonder if there ever will be a conclusion. It may take 20 more books to tie in all the loose ends.

I've read four of Robert Jordan's books of the WOT series, and couldn't take his writing style anymore.Maybe you'll like them.

*sighs painfully* I've read all nine. Don't quite know what to say about them . . . except that the first one was really good. The others, well, you'll see for yourself.

Well, they're good. But if he could start wrapping up the story starting from now, it would be just about right. Things are getting a little too convoluted. I don't know if I can take anymore if at least some of the threads don't resolve, but I do want to finish it. I've read too much to stop (i.e. up to, but not including Winter's Heart).

yes I'm in to the secont book now and it does seem to be starting to "lose something".
still......I would love to ba a channeler (a guy one of corse. duh) And now I want to get the RPG for it even more but my mom wont tell me when I can buy it. I don't know what her problem with RPGs are..... I guess she doesn't like the D&D stuff so now she hates all RPGs. still there is a mud of the wheel of time...... if anyoe wants it I can post a link to it up........ or PM it. |

The thing that seemed to bother me the most, was,he moved everything at a snails pace, until the end, then everything happened at once. The following book would be the same way,and yes mirrille,I agree, lots of strands.

I just wish Jordan would get it over with. The first two or three books were really good. From then on, things went downhill. I've read all except the latest purely to keep up with the characters.

Not to change the thread, but has anyone read "The Sword of Shannara"?It's a Tolkien knock-off as well, but better than W.O.T.It also has additional books,Elfstones, and Wishong, but there not nearly as good as SWord.

Nah, there's no porn. But it's not fair!!! First Robert Jordan gets you all interested in the story and the characters, then he starts degrading everything, and then he puts off the Last Battle for 10 books!!!! I swear that's the only reason I still read them -- the ending HAS to be good. It just has to!!
