Good Deal

I was in Best Buy today and they are having a sale on ram. I got 256mb for $20, after rebate!

I don't know how long the sale will last, but hopfully some of you can benfit from my happy little accindent!

*sigh* if only I had a commputer of my own, with internet connection.....and lots of cool games.....and a link to the entmoot on it...... *sigh*

It's amazing how the price of memory can fluctuate.

I built a P III - class system for a friend back in '99. A 128 meg stick of PC100 SDRAM cost $125.

A few months later, there was a major memory shortage, and the cost of a 128 meg stick of SDRAM could cost $300 or more.

I felt like such an idiot for not building a system for myself when I built my friend's system.

Several months after that, the cost came down to approximately a dollar a megabyte, and I built a P III - class system for myself.

This year, I bought 1 GB of PC133 CAS2 SDRAM for around $120. Four times as much memory as I started with, for half the price.

When i upgraded my computer in October i aye about £20 for 256MB!!!

It is a really good time to stock up though.
