'Imrahil' is actually Sindarin (or atleast it does not belong to Quenya). I don't know what it means. His birth does not appear to be marked in the Tale of Years. He was related I believe to Finduilas daughter of Adrahil of Dol Amroth, wife of Denethor II. I don't remember the nature of the kinship, but for what it's worth she was born in 2950.

Imrahil is actually Adunaic (i.e. Numenorean), see LotR App. E. No translation is given.
Imrahil was born in TA 2955 and lived 99 years.

Yes it is rather young, Tar-Aldarion had to wait until he was 183 till he was handed down the sceptre.
