How do I make an "avatar"?

What file format should it be? Size? etc...then how do I include it in my posts? Thanks?

Go into your "user cp"...the button is listed directly to the right of the Entmoot banner. Then click "edit options". Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "change avatar". From there you can upload an image from your files or from the web. Either way the pics are hosted by the local server. Voila...no more broken links.

Personally, i think this whole 'server stored avatar' thing is awful. I for one, will miss the read Xs and angelfire (or whatever) "no linking" images. that is all.
