Entmoot Election 2008: ** THE RESULTS **

Dear members of the Entmoot, the votes have been counted and tallied. Here are the results.

The results have put your Election Commity into a bit of a quandary. The Election has ended in an unforseen result: A draw between Nurvingiel and Sasquatch of Fangorn.

Not wanting to falsify the democratic vote by giving one candidate an unfair advantage over the other, the Commity has therefore decided to re-instate Hectorberlioz again as President of the Entmoot.

I was too new to have the right to vote, or to know the candidates or the previous (and now current) President.

But I suggest that if the same thing happens next time - in four years' time - there should be a second voting between the two top candidates instead.

Well, next time we will be prepared for the eventuality of a draw, believe me. But with the rather low turn-out for this election, we didn't think a second round would have worked well.

Yes, quite. I don't quite understand the whole "two candidates tie for most votes, so a third wins" thought process, but oh well.
