What is on your holiday wishlists?

What is on your holiday wishlist?

What do you hope to get (or know you will get) for the holidays? (holidays being hanukah or christmas or whatever).

The holidays are about a month away. I'm curious to know what everyone wants. Me? I have no idea. I'm looking for suggestions. :P

I'd like carte blanche in a bookstore, but it ain't gonna happen At best, I'll get a gift certificate to Waldenbooks and that'll make me happy.

Wouldn't we all like a bookstore carte blanche!

I'd like one of Kasey Chambers' albums: The Captain, and any book by Barbara Hambly.

edited for spelling

You get Kasey Chambers over there? Ooh.

My wishlist: digital camera (which we're getting), mp3 player of some sort, books/book vouchers, learning material for my languages, CD's from my favourite German bands or a letter or something homemade from any RL friend. What I REALLY want would be the really high ENTER score I'm hoping for *prays to VCE gods* . Any of those things would make me really happy.

Well, we can get Kasey Chambers CDs anyway. My roommate two summers ago had one and it's a terrific CD!

What are your favourite German bands Lin?

This is all I really want, and that's probably the place to get it; it's nearly $800 in stores. A tiny but powerful radio and 5-CD changer. Yes.

That and a nice soft mattress. A tough little spring actually poked through mine just last night. But it sounds pathetic to ask for a mattress for Christmas.

But it's not a mattress you're really asking for; what you want is a good night's sleep. And everyone needs that. The mattress is just the way to get there, so ask away!

Since my MP3 player was for my birthday and part of my christmas list, I'm trying to keep my item(s) under or just a tiny bit over $50. So here are some 'groups' I'm considering.

1. The NPR or BBC radio production of the Lord of the Rings trilogy on CD. I have the NPR on tapes, but those can hardly play through now without jumping off the spokes and getting all tangled up.

2. Some CDs by: Michael Buble,Jamie Cullum, and maybe an Enya or Loreena Mckennitt.

3. A microphone.

4. Some really good headphones for my MP3 player.

5. A -nice- longsleeve pullover and fitted business jacket.

6. A pair of tenny-shoes and a pair of black dress shoes.

7. The Tristan Und Isolde opera on CD

So anyways, I'm still trying to choose what I want.

I want an Enya CD too. I had "Watermark" on tape and I listened to it a lot but I don`t have a tape player here so I didn`t bring it. There`s a commercial playing lately with an Enya song in it and it always makes me wanna read LotR. I listened to Watermark a lot the week of the first time I read it so I always make that connection.

Also, I want some Fritos. Really badly. I haven`t been able to find any product even close. I wonder what it would take to mail some...

I really need some new notebooks to write my books in...I've filled just about all the ones I have.
And a Nothing is Sound guitar book wouldn't hurt...

I'm telling my uncles I wanted a Walkman, just to see if they would really try to find one. I found one in my car last week that's all held together with duct tape... must have been my brother's. And coincidently, my dad just came across some old 8-tracks of his and he's asking for an 8-track player.

You're a stylish guy. You're right though. I never think about it until about twenty minutes before the special event, but I really need some new dress clothes too. I'm adding all of those things to my list.

I'd like a new laptop, a gift certificate to shop at Sephora, a gift certificate to use at Nordstrom, a move-in to this new house I hope-hope-hope my b-friend decides to get, a card & photos from my mother, and... and... and a laptop.

I'd love a harp with one more octave on the bottom than my current harp has ... I love the low notes, and if you have one more octave than I do, then the last few strings have to be metal to stand the strain, and you can get neat buzzing effects with them (kind of like a drone or a digery-do (sp?) type of sound - you touch it lightly with your fingernail - cool!)
