Scouting

To follow what has been discussed in the .Dumbest thing you've done recently...thread

By the way there is no more Guide in Quebec... they didn't want to be assosciated with Québec anymore. But don't worry We still have scouting for girls, it's just named differently.

Re: Scouting

HTML????
Did I miss something? Or are you being sarcastic and I didn't notice? The Girl Guides of Canada sell Girl Guide Cookies door to door, and that's what he was talking about.
I probably sound really dumb, but I'm lost.

Re: Scouting

Pay no attention E of C...he was being sarcastic. I'll let one of them explain it, because I couldn't even if I tried.

I use to sell GS Cookies. Which is your favorite? Mine has to be Samoas...is that spelled right?? Anyhow, when I sold them they were only one dollar. Now they are much more and you get even less, but I don't care....I would pay 3 bucks for 10 of those yummy chocolate, carmel, coconut cookies!

Re: Scouting

SAMOAS AND THIN MINTS ARE THE BEST...

...but the little peanutbutter cookies covered with chocolate are mighty good, too!

Re: Scouting

Yummmmmy!!! Samoas, and Do-si-do's (the peanut butter sandwich ones) dipped in milk are the best. Do any of the rest of you get Girl Scout Cookie ice cream where you are? They just have it in Samoa and Thin Mint so far. It's REALLY GOOD!

Re: Scouting

Well, for cool activities, I did a long and very hard canot ride (two days),

48 hours of survival, totemisation.

Yeah... wanna know what my totem is? I'll let you guess for a little suspense...

Re: Scouting

My fondest memory is going camping with the scouts. One that was really special happened around ten years ago. The older scouts played Norse gods and we had a lot of games related to that Norse theme.

Re: Scouting

I have no idea, Shanamir.
The kids I work with are anywhere from age 8 to 12. And so because of a bunch of legal gobbelty-gook the most I can do with them is take them out for a one-night tenting trip. They love it though. I was voted "most likely to survive being lost for 3 months", that's the title they came up with for me.

Re: Scouting

Ok, here are some hints for my totem: it's an animal living mostly in Canada and was once near extinction. More hints to come...

The kids I work with are in the 9-12 years range. Each summer we go on a week-long camp, sleeping under tents. Last summer we did Rabaska! They liked it!

Re: Scouting

My friend's brother's girlfriend was kicked out of girl scouts for jumping over an open fire. They decided she could be a danger to the others and was insane.

Nope, guess again. It's brown

They are stupid. Some adults don't remember what they used to be and used to do back that age. I would NEVER kick one kid out for something so unimportant. I once kicked a kid out, because he was always bullying, hitting and hurting the others. I just didn't want him to hurt badly another kid.
