July 11: John Noble will not be appearing with us at ELF. We have invited Mr. Noble to be with us at ORC (our LOTR event in Pasadena California) and we hope to work with him soon. Those that ordered photo ops will have their credit cards refunded.

We are bringing a gala weekend filled with spectacular guests and attractions, on-stage appearances, informative and entertaining panels, contests, vendors, and PARTIES! This affair will be more intimate than THE ONE RING CELEBRATION and designed to offer fans three days of never-ending fun in a casual, informal and festive atmosphere!

And, we've chosen ORLANDO, Florida as the site for obvious reasons: The Wyndham Orlando Resort is a tropical paradise in the heart of the world's most popular vacation destination. Lush gardens and lagoons make it easy to forget that this elegant resort is located on bustling International Drive. Florida's most thrilling theme parks - Walt Disney World®, Universal Studios® Florida and Sea World® Adventure Park - are minutes away.

When not at the convention, enjoy a host of pleasures: three gorgeous pools, a tropical garden path or visit the hotel's health club. Find a treasure in one of the great shops that are just steps away. When the sun goes down, dine in the casual elegance of the Augustine's Grille or revel in Orlando's hottest nightspots on International Drive. Convention Events:
ELF is planned to be more casual and intimate than our West Coast based huge ORC event. As such, we are planning two tracks of programming at ELF: our main theatre track which features the major celebrities and costume parade and our secondary track which will be programmed by the fine folks at TheOneRing.net. The secondary track will be a wonderful mix of scholars, artists and costumers and give attendees a really creative weekend!

BILLY BOYD'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
That's right, we're all meeting on Billy's birthday weekend and what better place to join the party than in ORLANDO! We'll do a little something cool at one of the evening events to let Billy know we all care!
COSTUME COMPETITION
A more informal contest than usual: this is a chance to show our audience your creative abilities! No huge paperwork to do in advance: just show up ready to go on stage in costume and vie for a $250 gift certificate! Scheduled for Saturday. Depending on the amount of contestants, there MAY be a prejudging done prior to the actual on-stage event.
NO-MINIMUM BID AUCTION
A fun opportunity to grab some cool sci-fi collectibles all at ridiculous low, low prices!

"Tengwar for the General Public" with Laura Cooper on How to write Tengwar. Ms. Cooper will also write fan's names in Tengwar during the weekend at her booth!
"Themes in the LOTR Score" with Doug Adams
"Medieval English" with Dr. Elizabeth Solopova of the Bodlean Library of Oxford
TRIVIA COMPETITION
The fun is fierce as the audience participates: join the fun and vie for cool prizes by showing off your knowledge of all things LOTR!

ART SHOW
If you have Tolkien inspired artwork to share and sell, we welcome you to enter the ELF Art Show! Both professional and amateur artwork will be sold and displayed in the Art Show during convention hours on Friday and Saturday with a live auction on Sunday. If you're an artist interested in learning more, please read through the rules and submit an entry form to reserve space in the show.

THROBBITS, ELFISES, DORKS and DWEEBS - THE MAKING OF MUDDLE-EARTH
Join the creators of the upcoming epic parody "The Dork of the Rings" as they present how they made this ambitious low-budget film, from costumes to characters to computer backgrounds. Panel will be hosted by Director Tim Richardson and Co-Writer/producer/actor Michael Kouroubetes. They will appear on stage, show clips from their film and answer questions.
