They've got their hands full with people who don't like their Royal Family (I'm familiar with that history :-( ) and tourists and Egyptian citizens have to suffer for it. It's a shame explosives are so cheap and people think human life is cheaper.

You do recall that the Nobel Prize was established by the inventor of TNT (dynamite) on the profits of that "new and improved" explosive. Perhaps the inventor(s) of plastique should do the same?
Recall though that political assassinations only require a dedicated assassin and any means to hand. And local political cells are terrorists when they act like this, aren't they? So what makes a terrorist? An individual or group of individuals adhering to a political goal which they hope to be achieved by radical means without regard to human casualty and intending the use of the same to achieve stated political goal(s). Said political goals may be hidden by rhetoric regarding religion, philosophy, or the need for redistribution of power and wealth from the existing structure to the terrorists, personally and organizationally. All done in the name of the god, philosopher, or prophet of change popular with the organization as a recruiting tool and in whose name conscription is instituted all for the beneficent "future" promulgated by the individuals seeking control until they achieve it, when they revert to type and the cycle begins over. (Cf. USSR, Yugoslavia, Cambodia, Cuba...........)

I just wanted to express my sadness at this, yet another terrorist attack in such a short amount of time. I feel so badly for the Londoners and the Egyptian tourists that have suffered as a result of these atrocious acts recently.

A friend of mine left Egypt earlier that day. Yesterday was the first I heard of it.

I think most of the victims were locals. In the longer term, they will suffer most as well because of the damage it does to the tourism industry.

That's what I heard from my near-miss friend. Relatively few tourists were injured.
