Do movies in the cinema count, too?
I was thinking of seeing National Treasure. Sean Bean as the bad guy- yeah! (he makes a good bad guy, which is a shame, because he makes a good good guy, too)
Also, I'm looking forward to checking out Finding Neverland.

King Arthur was decent. I didn't like how they tried to pass it off as more likely than the other myths behind Arthur, though, because it wasn't.

Already released movies I need to see: Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, High Fidelity

I really want to see Vanity Fair, and the movie version of Phantom of the Opera.

But I've seen Boondock Saints, so that helps my life sustain a bit.

I agree! I want to see King Arthur too, but I've done a little online research to prepare myself. I love Arthurian legends, and I am as attached to them as I am to LOTR, if not more!
This movie is attempting to create a historically possible back story for the legend of King Arthur. Automatically, this sounds a lot more boring. Also, he is a Roman soldier for most of the movie, and Guinevere is a scantily clad warrior for no apparent reason. (Guinevere as a warrior can be a very successful portrayal if you do it properly, but I doubt this movie is going to pull it off.)

Sir Kay is my favourite knight (aside from King Arthur himself, obviously), and he's not in the movie at all. Why have the random knight Dagonet and not Kay? At least this way his character won't get distorted.
Kay's best line in any movie that I can think of is from Excalibur. "Knights! Squires!" as he strides out of the castle, summoning the army. I love that scene!

Anyway, I'm a little dubious about the movie but I'm going to see it anyway when I can. From what I've heard so far, it might have been better if they had made it about random soldiers pressed into service in the Roman army. That would be a movie worth watching!

Kay's your favorite knight? I love Tennysonian Arthurian stuff (Idylls of the King, mostly), and in them Kay is the most ill-mannered knight of all the Table Round! I think I like Lancelot the best, even though he was a two-timing, half-loyal scoundrel. As Guinevere said, "The man I love must have a touch of earth- tis the low sun makes the colour."
But I do want to see King Arthur, although, no doubt, it will not meet my expectations.

I really hated King Arthur. It wasn't artistic like I thought it would be and it was so... Hollywood even though I believe it's a british film
I want to see Shaun of the Dead and Neoploian Dynomite. They both look hilarious. I also want to see Ed Wood being that it's the last Tim Burton movie I havn't seen (except for Pee-Wee Herman's big adventure wich I doubt I ever will see).

What I am going to see:

LotR: FotR!!!!!!!

I've already seen it a million times, but I haven't been able to watch it in forever due to a lack of DVD player. So I just spent $7 on a VHS (I burn too much money on LotR, I'll tell you), and I'm gonna watch it tonight!!!! I'm kind of hyper over it; you'll forgive me, won't you?

I'm gonna see it too even if it's too bombastic!! That goes for Troja, too!

In cinema, my immediate waiting list for the next two months runs thus:

- The Incredibles
- Alexander
- The Phantom of the Opera
- A Very Long Engagement

I saw the trailer for "A Series of Unfortunate Events" today and it looked very promising. I'm also really looking forward to "Finding Neverland" - it's had excellent reviews and I'm a recovering Peter Pan addict (from when I was six).

LOL. I love Peter Pan, and I really would like to see "Finding Neverland" as well. I haven't looked at the reviews yet- lucky Brits got it first.

I'm thinking of renting "The Clearing" with Robert Redford. Anyone seen it/like it/not like it? Just want to know if I'll waste my money or not. I happen to like drama, like "Ordinary People" (which Redford directed, actually), but "The Clearing" got some pretty lousy reviews. Just wondering.
