what are your opinions on the new batman movie it will be coming out
june 17th, 2005 (wide) the cast is Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne, AKA Batman), Ken Watanabe (Ra's Al Ghul), Michael Caine (Alfred Pennyworth), Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox), Rutger Hauer, Katie Holmes (Rachel Dodson), Cillian Murphy (Dr. Jonathan Crane), Liam Neeson (Ducard), Gary Oldman (Sgt. Jim Gordon), Tom Wilkinson (Carmine Falcone)

It looks like there are some good actors in it, but whether or not they'll be able to pull off a good movie is another story.

hmmm...It looks pretty decent. It does have a great cast...well supporting cast anyway. I just hope they do a good job with this movie. The Batman movie franchise has really gone downhill in the last little while.

Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman are my two favourite actors, and they are both in this movie.
Michael Caine is also high on my list...awesome...

Have no fear...a full 2/3 of the movie is dedicated to what 'created' Batman. Its almost like they decided to erase all of the past campy movies and really tell his story.

Definitely. I didn't really know what to expect when coming in to the film, but what I recieved wasn't it. It was very good.

I loved the way it was hinted at (and that's putting it mildly) who the next villain will be

I, too, heard that Sean Penn was the director's first choice. I have a feeling he won't do it though... I think Paul Bettany's also under consideration. I'm not sure who of those two I'd prefer. They're both good choices.

Just as exciting to me is that Harvey Dent (who later becomes Two Face) will be introduced in the next one. There are rumours around claiming that Guy Pearce, who worked with Christopher Nolan on Memento, might play him. I hope they're true!
