Neverwinter Nights

I just got this (for ten bucks!

) from a halfprice book store, and it's been a GREAT game so far!

I'm only on to the second 'chapter', and I'm playing a seventh level druid.

Has anyone else played NWN?

I've played Baldur's Gate, which is similar (made by the same people, I think, probably by copying different graphics and text onto the same game engine

). Very groovy. Have you tried the online version?

Yes, actually I was wanting to get it partially because of that... but most of the online games I've tried to join are full of jerks who aren't actually playing -_-. I wish I knew of a good server, because I love playing online.

I enjoyed Neverwinter Nights, but it was pretty linear. If you want to play a good Forgotten Realms game, then make sure you pick up Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, it's the best one of the lot. And I never finished it cos it was so freaking huge. Plus, it has Minsc, "Butt kicking for Justice!", who keeps talking to his pet hamster, Boo.

Minsc:

Go for the eyes, Boo, go for the eyes!
There is safety in numbers. And I'm two or three at least.

I've only ever played Shadowbane, but I kept getting PK'd.

I really enjoyed it though.... is the online version any good? Other than being full of jackasses?

I got pretty far, I think I was into the 4th Chapter and then I had to clear my hard-drive so I never got past that point. My character was a lvl 15 half-orc barbarian.

It took me about 2 years to finish SoA (I don't play games very often is my excuse) but I'm now working my way through the sequel (Throne of Bhaal)

Yeah, Minsc is a hoot.

Heh, that does suck, I always saved two slots just incase something like that happened.
