Men in Kilts

Ok, this is kind of a random thread, but it seems like recently kilts are a fashion statement. Some guys at my school have worn them (one guy even wore one to a formal dance mini-prom thing), and I know several girls who think they're sexy. Men in skirts and kilts... what do you think of that eh? Why is that somehow oddly appealing?

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Last St. Patrick's day, my friend and I were self-designated, unofficial "kilt patrol". I can't say what we did to check for violators of the "no-undies" rule, this is a PG-13 board.

Sminty ....

Yup - my cousin went with one

Saw a great one the other day - someone dressed up as John Brown (Queen Vic )

I always think it's sad to see other cultures, like when there are political meetings, heads of state, business, and such, just dressed in suits. Boring too.

PS saw someone putting one on the other day, the type that ends up with the bustle at the back. Seemed to involve a lot of rolling around on the floor ...

Yes. He also looks like a silly twit. Hard to imagine legions of adoring fangirls lusting after him when he was a young 'un. ::sick::

But I'll add this... men in kilts are just hot!!! I wish more would wear them. When I see a guy in a kilt, I start wondering ... what's he got underneath that ... and my mind just starts wandering into the dark, naughty recesses of my mind.... *starts to sweat and shake* ... I need a cold shower....

He looks like a silly twat in anything he wears... it's not the kilt... it's him.

I completely agree!

It's good living on the Scottish border (or roundabouts) because I see so many people wearing them. And they're alot of Scottish guys in my 6th Form, so they wear they're kilts to the Christmas Ball we have (or practically any other formal ).

They're just hot.

Lalaith, what's your avatar from? It looks sort of Burton-esque...

I like guys in skirts too. I only know a few [straight] guys down here who wear skirts or kilts... I think there should be more, especially because it's so dang hot here all the time! I just love it because it's so abnormal here. If there's a good looking guy in a kilt or skirt, he instantly gets like +500000 bonus coolpoints.

The one I've got now? Um... some picture I found on the net. It looks like I did this morning so I thought I'd use it.

The best men in kilts are 'true scots'. ie the type who only wear the kilt.

We spent a good deal of time trying to convince one of my friends that a utilikilt would be very good for him. I think it was mostly to scare him, though. . .heh. . .anyway, he insisted that he liked lab coats much better. Silly chemistry people

We had skirt day last week, and I think, among my friends, more of the guys were wearing skirts than the girls.

I love goth guys in skirts. And I love goth guys in trenchcoats. I love floaty things. *salivates* The sexiest people in the world are gothicy.

(Yes I know I used 'labels' and stuff. I guess it would be more fitting to say gothic style of attire)

I have a guy friend who wants a kilt. I am trying to get one for his b-day. Then, he can wear it to his brother's graduation. We keep joking about how he's going to wear a kilt to the upcoming prom and I'll wear a kimono.

I've got one. Last time I wore it was Burns night a couple of years ago. I think they look good with Docs and an old t-shirt. Those frilly cow's-bowel style shirts make me want to boke.

The second best thing about wearing a kilt is that going for a slash is a piece of piss.
