did anyone else watch it last night? the first couple of episodes are always the best cuz nobody's really serious yet. two words: scat girl lolololol!

Yah I watched it last night. There were actually some that could sing! But, Scat girl was tarrible!!!!!!!!!! What was she trying to do?

I can't wait to see the next episode tonight

It is very interesting.

I wonder if the horrible ones really all believe they can sing?

It seems like a lot know are going in with gimmicks to try to get their attention and be on tv - like that army dude who then rapped in some asian language, and that scooter girl - WHAT A NUTCASE, but she could sing.

Obviously they screen the people - thousands of people there.

I'm sure they only let a. the worst b. best c. most entertaining in to sing to the three judges.

I mean what it said 29 ppl moved to the next round? They only showed like 3 out of that!

yah, when they had the canadian one they told this kid to act like an idiot and he would get on TV, so he did and managed to get on TV. some of the stupid stuff is the producers fault

half of those morons who cant sing are people who know the producers in that city, at least some of the outrageous ones are fake, one i think who was fake was that chick who went to sing at a bar

I'm sure there are a handful, but I doubt that many or even half are "fakes"

I think most of those awful singers really are disallusioned.
Others are people who are just doing that to try to get on tv - thats not the same thing as your definition of "fake" or at least its NOT because they know the producers or whatever.

There are different producers for each city????? I did not know that, I would assume same producers for the whole season for the series. Even if there are, they know that many people???

I agree a lot of the bad contestants or average were asked to be more interesting for the camera. You think that bar singer was just asked off the street to do that? No, she was probably a real person who couldn't sing and they really made that bet. Then she was just going along with it for fun, and they probably paid her for it anyway. Thats just my feeling. Why do you think otherwise.

That scooter girl an actress or just excited nutcase?

And of course the good singers certainly are not "fakes." They are real people who can really sing.

yah, they let some of the bad ones through who think they can win it to make it more interesting so we watch it. Thats the only reason i watch American Idol, to see Simon make fun of the s****y singers
