I just got a letter--I'm going to GERMANY!!! I get to spend the next year, starting in July-Augustish in Germany, living with a host family and attending school there, with the Congress-Bundestag program!!! *is reeeealy hyper*

cool, a cousin of mine went there for a couple of months last summer, she loved it. what part of germany is that in?

My friend just came back from Germany (she was over ther because her parents are military...), and my cousin talks German at me constantly, which is a little annoying, as the extent of my German is 'guten tag'.

I have absolutely no clue where in Germany I'll be going; some people don't know until the last minute where they'll be sent. I'll be spending the entire school year, starting in July or August living with a host family and attending school there and so on. I'm in German II this year, so I know basic "survival German." It's with the Congress-Bundestag program, which is a scholarship given out between the US Congress and the German Bundestag, and is actually carried out by AFS (well, in my area anyway; people in other areas of the country get it through different exchange programs)
I'll let you people know once I find out who my host family is and so on!

Dunedain Lady I hope you have internet access there, Or I will miss you! As you see, I found my way here, and think I posted here once before. Not sure though.
