Tom Bombadil Confused Sauromaun

Is it just me, or does Sauromaun seem slightly confused in the movie? In FOTR, he's got the origin of orcs all wrong. The books don't say that orcs come from tortured elves. Maybe it's just a mistake in the movie...........where do orcs come from anyway?

The book does say that orcs came from elves, although Tolkien later changed his mind about this.
There are already a few threads that discuss the origin of orcs. Just do a search of the Middle Earth or LotR books forums, and you'll find a few to browse that'll give you a lot of info.
