I really recommend 'Les Misérables', Victor Hugo was a genius (he didn't write the songs to the musical, but whatever). Too bad I was quite young when I saw it, I can't remember the musical clearly. I have to see it again some time.

No, I think they don't. It's simply unnatural to start singing during a conversation. would you start singing and dancing while talking to a friend. I guess he would laugh at you.

well, sometimes I do... but that friend starts doing it too...
usually we start dancing while we're singing w/ our group....but hey! it's all the same in my head.

by the way, what does all this have to do with Moulin Rouge ( or the price of peas in Persopolis for that matter...lol jk)

just discussing about Musicals and how unnatural this behaviour is.
But I guess you won't sing a whole song with new lyrics and your partner knows all the lyrics, LoD

I knooowwww, but at least it's something to do...thank heavens it was only an 8 hour driveand not a 21 hour long drive. I hate those. I REALLY would have gone bonkers then, especially since my discman BROKE at 9:00 pm the night before I was supposed to leave. bloody discman.... *seethes*

Have you ever spent 8 hours in a bus? That's horrible. Especially at knight. I guess we should discuss that in the Fanclub thread, not in the only Moulin Rouge tread.

It was when my school arranged some trips to French speaking countries. The first time was when we went from Stockholm to Strassburg and back again. The other time was when we went to Brussels and back again. That's a total of 24 times 4 hours by bus.

Yes, I did have a discman, and I listened to my burned CD with the Moulin Rouge music on it almost the entire time. That CD also got me through the first hard nights in Spain when I was coping with jet lag and some minor culture shock.

I went to Orlando, Florida in that bus. I think I made a thread about it awhile back (whoa, more than a year ago).

No, I haven't joined the fan club, and I don't plan on doing so. Not really keen on cliques within cliques. The LOTR fandom (and my growing Cowboy Bebop obsession) is enough for me. I have, however, written a MR fanfic on fanfiction.net under the pen name Sangwaelen. Don't know if you would like it though.
