Take your time, Hector. I'm looking forward to your reactions. Oh, before you react, please remember Hamlet's words: "Let me be cruel, not unnatural; I will speak daggers to her, but use none"

Thanks Midge.
You're reading Dumas' extraordinary book right now? The plot is super, isn't it?

Btw, I salute you for your case that Hector could very well do evil by proxy. The Evil Santa example strongly underlines it
One must hope that Acalewia can stand up against Hector. But if she were to fail, remember Midge that you and Varna may be the last defence between this man and ultimate power. So keep campaigning

It is a great plot. After having seen the movie, I was impressed to discover that Dantes is out of prison by the end of 200 pages out of a 1000 page book. Unlike the movie, most of the book does NOT take place in prison.

Well, basically, Varna and I feel that we would just plain be the best candidates, period. This can be illustrated by the answers we gave to Hector's questions and the fact that we are indeed the ONLY candidates to have posted answers to Hector's questions. (add-in: The questions have now been posted for 10 whole days and only Varna and I responded, and that quite promptly!)

Inked... I thought the whole purpose of that language was to be easier to understand. I have no clue what you're saying! I think you're more typing in an accent than in Euro-English (to which, I would like to point out, I have not reverted back!).

The candidates should totally make lists of proposed concubini part of their platforms.

I absolutely refuse to do so. I prefer a concubine-free 'Moot and if I have to, even if it will make us lose the election, I will put that in my platform. *Yay for ... marriage!*

Are you doubting my resolve, Jonathan. You should see me stand up to my boss

And the reason for my abstance is I've been feeling sick for a little while now. Between the weather not making up its mind if it wants to be warm or cold, allergies and a spring cold makes for a ill Acally.

Feels like California all over again.

I suppose I could get behind that...I'd prefer a "concubines for all" platform, though.

Oh. While I support that, I wasn't actually talking from that point of view. You'll notice I didn't specify "*yay one man-one woman marriage!*"

I just couldn't think of another absolute opposite of concubinery than marriage. Can you?

Hector, this is what you reminded me of, although I am not sure I totally understood what you said:
Quote:
[Arthur]: "Shut up! Will you shut up!" (punch)

[Dennis]: "Oh, now we see the violence inherent in the system!"

A: "Shut up!" (punch)

D: "Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help, help, I'm bein' repressed!"

A: "Bloody peasant!"

D: "Oh, what a giveaway! Did you see that? Did you see him repressin' me? You saw it, didn't you?..."

I guess I totally support that as well - or combine it to 'celibacy outside of marriage'?

Yeah! Getting married is exciting.

And Inked - my "hunymun" isn't going to last for the entirety of my term as Entmoot President. It's just going to be like... a few days.
